The Q-UGV Cesare at the 164th Anniversary of the Constitution of the Italian Army: technology at the service of the Armed Forces

On the occasion of the 164th anniversary of the Italian Army’s establishment, Veco Robotics Q-UGV Cesare participated in Bari’s Army Village, a celebratory event held in Piazza della Libertà from May 1st to 4th, 2025. The initiative provided the public with a unique opportunity to experience the military world and discover firsthand the technologies, vehicles, and men who serve the nation every day.

Inside the exhibition area, alongside the Centauro2 armored vehicle, attack helicopters, and EOD systems, the Q-UGV Cesare attracted attention for its autonomous mobility and versatility. Designed to operate in complex and unpredictable environments, Cesare demonstrated how land robotics is becoming a tangible part of the Army’s operational future.

With its four-wheel drive, ability to move on any type of terrain, and integrated artificial intelligence, Cesare represents a concrete example of how innovation and technology can increase operator safety and expand tactical capabilities in the field.

The event, which welcomed thousands of visitors, was also a moment of celebration and reflection on the evolution of the Italian Army. Veco Robotics brought the Q-UGV to the public’s attention to demonstrate how robots can now support real-world missions and contribute to the protection of frontline forces. Through demonstrations, institutional meetings, and solemn celebrations, the Army Village demonstrated that the Italian military tradition is constantly evolving, integrating cutting-edge solutions to meet the challenges of the present and future.
